Counseling for Overseas Education

PNP Canada

Because applying for studies abroad is such a significant decision, we go beyond merely advising you on the best country and university to assisting you in making the best overall ‘career decision.’

There are numerous top-ranked universities around the world. It becomes a difficult chore to limit down the list to the top priority candidates who fit your description. Here is when our educational counsellors come in handy.

Our Director Mr. Hitesh Chugh (R709639) is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, with the experience of over 15 years in Student Recruitment who is an expert in Profile analysis, will help you narrow down the selections that are most relevant to your profile and interests, taking into account your educational history and professional goals. They then make recommendations for programmes in locations and universities that match your preferences.

Assistance with Applications and Admissions

Your university application reveals a lot about you. It shows not just your academic profile and topic preferences, but also your personality. The institution learns about you through your Statement of Purpose (SOP), Letters of Recommendation (LOR), Motivation Letter, Resume or Curriculum Vitae, Essays, and other important documents, all of which are deciding factors in whether or not your application is to be shortlisted.

Our counsellors provide detailed instructions for writing SOPs, LORs, resumes, essays, and application forms. You can benefit from total assistance, from screening your application to submitting it to colleges.

  • How to Write a Statement of Purpose (SOP)

    • The SOP (Statement of Purpose) is a student’s personal statement and the most crucial section of the application.
    • Keep in mind that your SOP does not have to be perfect. The school is looking for a well-written statement of aims, interests and intentions that illustrates how you think, if you have carefully considered your application, and whether your interests and strengths are compatible with the program you are applying to.
    • The opening of the statement doesn’t have to be extraordinaire, but should urge the reader to stick with you.
    • Maintain a professional yet informal tone, like you would with your principal or department head.
    • Your sop should flow smoothly; if it is choppy and bounces from paragraph to paragraph abruptly, your readers will struggle to keep up. To smooth the transition make sure you introduce yourself (academic and professional background), then mention your financial standing (if mentioning any), further answer questions such as: Why you chose the particular program, institution, country; and lastly mention your future aims and intentions combining your past education/experience and future studies (aka future career prospective).
    • Your statement should provide a sample of your language competency as an Indian student aiming to pursue higher education overseas.
    • The essay should come to a satisfactory conclusion. Formally and respectfully end the statement while putting forward a small summary of your aims and intentions.
  • How to write your RESUME

    • Your CV should be a reflection of who you are as a person. It should portray you as a motivated individual while also reflecting your uniqueness.
    • If you have a goal in mind, write about it in around 20 to 30 words, using crisp, unambiguous language.
    • Personal Information: Include your personal information at the start of your resume.
    • Educational Background: List your education in reverse chronological sequence, preferably beginning with graduate school.
    • Projects are an important part of any technical résumé. Make a detailed list of all the projects you’ve completed.
    • Work Experience: In reverse chronological order, list your assignments with various organisations (latest experience first).
    • Additional qualifications: It could include information on your computer capabilities, programming abilities, and other technical degrees.
    • Make sure your fonts are simple and easily readable, use language that puts your biodata right in front of the eyes of the reader.
  • In order to create an effective Recommendation

A letter of recommendation is a formally written statement by teachers/professors/professionals who have taught you in an institution or worked with you in a professional setting. This letter indicates the student’s academic capacity and ability to complete the degree successfully at the designated School/College.

The letters of recommendation must be kept private. You must make certain that:

    • The recommendation letter is typed on the letterhead of the institution/teacher.
    • The recommender’s signature appears in ORIGINAL on each copy of the letter.
    • The letter is contained in a sealed envelope (i.e. glued shut).
    • The endorser has signed over the sealed envelope’s flap.
    • The first and most important step is to find the correct individual who can provide you with a referral.
    • Change the tone of the recommendation.
    • Don’t use a lot of superlatives.
    • Make your suggestions credible.
    • Make sure the assessments in the recommendation correspond to the hard numbers in your transcripts.
    • Try to bring up areas of your personality that haven’t been discussed yet.
    • Give your suggestion a structure and a flow.
