A permanent residence pathway for individuals with Canadian experience. Canadian Experience Class (CEC) was introduced in the year 2008 and is one of the major pathways for Canada’s working class. CEC program comes under the Express Entry system and uses the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank the applicants. As the CRS ranking system is merit-based, the most competitive scorers receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
The program has received a positive response among the skilled workers in Canada looking for PR. This initiative taken by the Canadian government encourages more temporary foreign workers and international students to have a legit career in Canada.
Combining human capital criteria like age, level of education, and work experience with building social and professional networks in Canada makes up for successful CEC immigrants in the labor market. CEC takes a little over 3-4 more months to process, making it one of the fastest routes to avail Canadian permanent residence (PR). Note that this program is only for the applicants interested in living outside the province of Quebec, as Quebec selects its own skilled workers.
