Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

FSWP is one of the three programs under Express Entry that allows people from around the world with foreign experience and no connections in Canada a chance to obtain a permanent resident (PR) status in Canada. This first point-based system was introduced in 1967 and since then it has been the most popular and primary way for foreigners to get PR and work in Canada.

Like the other 2 programs, FSWP also uses the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank the eligibility of the candidates to enter Canada on the basis of permanent residence. A minimum CRS score should be obtained based on the candidate’s age, education, language proficiency, work experience, occupation, and a few more factors. The current passing score in FSW is 67 out of 100 points.
